What made you choose CrossFit True?

Coach Moe didn’t look at how deconditioned I was but presented the opportunity to get healthy and fit again.

How long have you been training with us?

14 long

What has been your proudest moment in the past 90 days?

I have lost since I started 40 pounds, but that’s not it really. I’m not exhausted all the time, my bones and joints don’t ache daily from being fat and out of shape. They hurt now because of my great WODS.

When you’re not at the gym, what do you do for work? What do you do for fun?

I’m a surgical scrub nurse at Saint Raphael’s 35 years. Just received a promotion as lead for General surgery Robotics Thoracic GYN urology…its been overwhelming. Watching my son play soccer and going to gymnastics meets pre Covid-19. Spending time with my Grand dog Mickey, my 3 children , husband, and soon to be Son in law.. Travel and CrossFit.

How is your nutrition? How has it changed since joining CrossFit True?

Mindful every day of my nutrition. I’m not perfect but have come extraordinarily far in 14 months.

What are your 3 favorite movements/exercises?

Love the free weights.

Love my jump rope

Love the numerous stretching exercises reminds me of my gymnastics days.

What is your favorite style workout? (AMRAP, EMOM, Rounds for Time, etc)

I like them all. My coaches and CrossFit Fam make me push so its all new and exciting most days

What about your favorite workout? No barbell , all free weights , abs and legs. I can almost recognize them again.

Any favorite workout songs?

I love Coach Nics Hard Rock music & Classic Rock.

Have you changed physically or mentally since you’ve been working out with us? I must be in committed club every month, not even a maybe . When I feel exhausted fron my day I log in and go. No more excuses ever.

That’s a huge mindset shift for me.

What are your current goals? More weight loss to really start to see definition in my muscle groups.

How have your goals changed since you joined?

No excuses..I always found a reason not to exercise in the past. Not any more.

What has been the biggest surprise since joining CF True

How awesome the people who go here are. How great the coaches have been, they can modify anything based on where your fitness is. All of the members have treated me like family since the day I got here. I thought it would be too hard, and it is, but I’ve come 150 percent from where I was when I started.

What can you do now that you couldn’t do before joining? Everything.. Well endurance was a huge issue. I can bee bop around the OR now not feeling exhausted all the time. I’m much more flexible and limber then before.

CrossFit was a huge surprise I never thought I could possibly do it. My husband and my 3 kids tell me how proud they are I stick with this. I’m proud too… and it’s a first for me in a long time.
